I have the greatest respect and admiration for Joseph B. Wirthlin, Elder for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a wonderful man and a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Though we will all mourn his passing, I think we should honor him by reviewing his life and the inspiration and direction that he has given us.
Thank you Elder Wirthlin for your time and service.

Over the years I grew to love Elder Wirthlin's talks. He will be missed.
I have often thought back to the conference were Elder Wirthlin started to shake violently and Elder Russell M Nelson stood to steady him. I have heard people that said that they felt sorry for him and wished for him that it did not happen.
I am grateful for that day. After he finished his talk I realized that I had been praying quietly for him with all of my heart. Then I realized as he stood there with millions watching around the world, that I surely was not the only one offering a prayer. After I recognized this I began to ask those that I know that were watching that conference what they were doing during Elder Wirthlin's talk. I have been surprised at how many people were doing the same thing that I was. I suspect that possibly millions of LDS people were united in Prayer during that talk.
We are all a little more alike than we realize.
